Progression

Well, it’s not strictly a Clown Show thing, but the Moonlight Crusaders raiding alliance that a fair number of us run with dropped Magtheridon last night. Cool fight, crap loot. At least for me. Because apparently the RNG decided that I should plateau in gear progression about six months after the expansion came out.

Sigh.

Ah well. To be honest it’s worth a lot more to me to have been there for our first kill than to get some purple itamz that would totally JACK my +dmg up by like 20! BAM!

Next up: Void Reaver, apparently. We have 10 people who can click cubes when yelled at, do we have 15 people who can dodge giant balls of lightning?

Holidays mean a lot of distruption to the casual raiding guild. We were able to get into Kara on Sunday, but with a short crew, and a later start. We got past Big Bad Wolf, one-shot everything along the way, and had a decent time of it. Thanks to Snaggletooth for filling in outside of guild, and thanks to everyone who came. Next raid is Saturday, with Moonlight Crusaders; rumors of Void Reaver are surfacing.

This was my first time leading a raid, so I’m happy to say I led something that didn’t wipe once. Of course, having an all-star like Ng as a main tank makes the run rather trivial.

We’ll hit Kara again on Sunday, of course. See ya’ll then!

Monday progression post! I’ll probably do these every week unless I’m too hung over. Hey, those Sunday Karazhan clears go through a lot of vodka. Theoretically slacker raid leaders will have WWS reports to post here as well.

25-Mans: The Moonlight Crusaders alliance continues to down Gruul every week, while the RNG continues to deny me the shoulders that are mine by rights. F*** you, Incanter’s Pauldrons, for being on my shoulders for going on 8 months now.

Zul’Aman: Naloraak is our bitch once again, though we missed the timer again by a damn minute. Stupid billions of hit points. On the plus side, I learned that 10/48/3 can last throughout that longass fight with mana pots even lacking a shadowpriest/shaman/JoW/any damn help from the rest of the raid. So that’s good times.

Karazhan: Some damn tree had to bail after Opera, but bringing some new folks and a buncha alts along in Karazhan was a success by any measure! Aside from a few “Welcome to Karazhan” wipes, the raid went quite well and we got some shiny new purplz to outfit people in with a minimum of sharding. Which is always a plus.

THIS WEEK: More Karazhan, and hopefully some more ZA! Gotta keep on gearing up before we start hitting more content. Though even the 999/1000 Violet Eye mains don’t hate the badges ;)
